I created this album cover design for Christiana Berengeur. She is an up and coming pop artist based in Boston, Massachusetts.
Christiana approached me to create a design that would channel a number of pop artist’s aesthetics but still feel original and true to her brand.
Zenon, Sam Epp, came to me to create an eye-catching logo that exuded female empowerment, modernism, and the vibrance of her electronic/pop music. We worked together to come up with
the concept and brainstormed many ideas.
The final result was based on these initial design research stages, combined into one cohesive branding image.
Garrett Edson is a music engineer based in Boston. He wanted a logo that was simple, clean, and modern with an edge. We went though multiple iterations of the logo, playing with different concepts before arriving at this final version.
I also designed business cards to reflect the aesthetic of his logo.
For this album cover design for Elle Rose, I operated on the idea that less is more. She came to me with excellent photographs and I didn’t want to take away focus from the images.
She loved the femininity of the curved lettering and the modern take, using thin outlines for the text.
This was one of many album proposal designs for musical artist Alex Yen. He asked me to create a cover that conveyed a mysterious yet modern vibe. He wanted a hazy and cloudy feel to the cover.
Alex is based in Boston, Massachusetts.
These business cards were created for Phil Wood, a music engineer and producer. He wanted a logo that felt technical but also exciting. I used overlapping geometric shapes and lines to create depth and to allude to schematics. The blocky “explosions” added an exciting element to the design.
Another poster featuring original illustrations and feline friends for Payton Gin. We discussed the poster conveying a creepy, Halloween vibe but with a hint of cartoonishness.
This project was created for the hard rock band The Cotones. Their single The Party’s Over criticized the country’s current political climate. During my initial meeting with the group, we discussed the elements they wanted to include: something explosive, engaging, apocalyptic, grungy, and subtly hinting to Donald Trump. His silhouette is referenced in the mushroom cloud.
Here are two portraits from a series of headshots I created for the DJ Daniel Pock.
This was the second in the series of single album cover designs I created for Elle Rose. We plan to develop her logo and brand, continuing in the same aesthetic, together as well.
This space/sci-fi poster promoted a BIRN alive show for the Boston based rock band Heavy Sleeper.
I created this poster while working as the BIRN’s (Berklee’s Internet Radio Network) Visual Media Director.
This was a series of promo pictures created to market the release of their single and EP.
This album cover is the first in a series of covers for R&B/ electronic artist Cilla. She asked me to create whimsical line drawings based on photos she provided, set against soft, colorful backgrounds.
A show emblem design I created for the radio show VibraLatina (hosted by Majo Berpi) while working as the Visual Media Director for Berklee’s Internet Radio Network.
Payton Gin released their first EP this past March. I’ve worked extensively with them and we continued to channel the offbeat, vintage, and grungy vibe of the previous projects I’ve worked on with them.
This is the second in the series of three (the third single is yet to be released). We kept the same look as the first; the thin lines, brightly colored, blended backgrounds, and the title interwoven into the lines of the drawing.
Another poster design I was commissioned to create for a performance by the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, dedicated to the late Toots Thielemans.
A poster design I created for Gina Chavez while working as the Visual Media Director for Berklee’s Internet Radio Network.
Yesisa is the company my sister, Morgan Kret, created after moving back to the US from Ghana. To continue the work she did in education and expanding on her love of Ghanaian textiles and bead and metal work, she created a fashion company that sells purses and jewelry (designed by Morgan and Ghanaian artisans, using traditional Ghanaian textiles and beadwork, created by those local artisans), and 20% of all her profits go directly to school children she met through her work with non-profits.
I’ve worked with her to create her branding. This design is for a brochure she uses as promotion in our hometown of DC.
A poster design I did for Sergio Martinez, a renowned drummer and cajon player. His performance took place in Valencia, and the overlaid buildings in the image are of the landmark Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia, Spain.
Sustainable package design with second life.
One of my favorite pieces, a handcrafted, handprinted, handset book of nostalgic mementos from my summer living in Florence.
Instagram and poster design for a concert by DJ & The Yams.
Album Cover design for artist Naomi Westwater. Front cover, back cover, alternate album cover design.
Book cover design for Luca Zadra.
Album cover design for Gabe Dixon.
A poster design I created for Cindy Latin while working as the Visual Media Director for Berklee’s Internet Radio Network.
Gabriel Peralta is a Boston based musician who wanted an original illustrated logo. He is known for wearing this style hat and sunglasses during his shows. He heralds from Lima, Peru and earned the nickname Llama amongst his friends, hence the choice for this imagery.
Portable package design created for beverages with environmental sustainability kept in mind.
