My passions are music, art, and marketing, and using these skills to help propel my clients’ businesses with compelling designs and an understanding of their markets.
I grew up in Washington. D.C. with my two siblings and parents who are both visual and musical artists. They encouraged us to pursue our artistic passions whenever we found the interest. With their support I started playing classical piano at six years old and traveled through most of the musical spectrum ever since. I studied voice, classical and heavy metal guitar, concert flute, Celtic flute, penny whistle, and began writing my own songs at the age of ten. In high school, I became enlightened to the world of music production and engineering and nurtured my interest in music technology, as well as in design and art.
I earned my first degree in Graphic Design and worked for a small local magazine and design studio on projects for a diverse cross-section of clients. I learned how to understand a client’s needs, synthesize them with my own style, and deliver a product that often exceeded their expectations. Afterwards, I began my academic career at Berklee, studying Songwriting, Music Production/Engineering, and Commercial Record Production.
My experience in design collaboration— acting as a creative support to help bring others’ visions to fruition—transferred seamlessly into the world of production. Many of the same skills intrinsic to design (client interfacing, project management, and principles of composition) are used in music production, albeit with a different lexicon. And during my time at Berklee, I’ve been able to use those skills to collaborate with artists, promote their music, create their brand, and develop their unique sound.
I also developed my interest in music business and working to advance musicians. All of my work is aimed towards building up and inspiring artists and independent entrepreneurs. This collection of work features designs I’ve done for artists, musicians, music engineers/producers, and small businesses.
